So, just what is a wedding FILM and how does it differ from a wedding VIDEO? A wedding film differs in a lot of ways but I think the key is in the name itself. Now I don’t mean it just has a better sound to it like being a domestic engineer is a better way to say housewife. When I say the word “video” most of you think of two things; that closet upstairs or the attic where there is a box full of old VHS tapes that no one has watched in years. You know those tapes, the ones where your dad video taped your 8th birthday party or the family vacation. Think back to the last time you watched any of those videos, how long ago was it? I would bet it was a while ago. The other thing you may think of is those silly video’s you see on YouTube or on “America’s Funniest Home Video’s”. I like watching those just as much as the next person, but I can only watch them a couple of times.
Those are video’s. Something you watch maybe once or twice and then they go up on the shelf or in a box. When I say film, you most likely think about a movie. Look around your house at all the DVD’s you have. I would say it is a good bet one of those DVD’s is your favorite movie and I also say it’s fair to guess you’ve watched that movie more then 3 times. One of my favorite movies is “The Shawshank Redemption”. I have seen that movie more times then I can count and if it’s on TV I will stop and watch it from whatever point it’s at in the movie. That is the difference between a wedding video and a wedding film, a wedding video you will watch once and was most likely done by a family friend. A wedding film is something you will watch over and over again for years to come. Something you will want to share with family, something that will become a family heirloom or a piece of living history.

With having female videographers available, we can have them in the room with the bride while she is getting ready. This allows her to feel more comfortable while she is getting dressed and provides us with some great footage of the bride in the moments before her ceremony.
